One side to a story

There are not two sides to every story. Sometimes there is only one:
- Smoking is bad for you
- Climate change is happening, caused by human activity
Both these one-sided stories started out with two sides.
On the other hand some stories do have two sides but you only hear one. Probably because the other side is not so exciting.
- How many times have you heard the term kinaesthetic learner in a context useful beyond pedagogic research?
- Studies into learning styles that use brain scans as part of their evidence?
- Studies showing that tailoring instruction to a learning style does actually improve learning?
